A series of posters exploring styles created by Japanese graphic design legends featured in the Persona 1965 exhibition, including Yusaku Kamekura, Katsui Mitsuo, Tadanori Yokoo and Kazumasa Nagai.

The aim of the exploration was to take the post modernists’ love for traditional Japanese forms, materials, and color schemes but also drastically incorporate a sense of dimensionality to the compositions.

The compositions hold a strong sense of space, layering multiple systems and dimensions into a flat 2D surface. Within the compositions are accents of Japanese typography explaining themes each poster portrays.
